We specifically recruit young men and women between the ages of 18 and 25. Our program is tailored for individuals who need a fresh start, including young adults aging out of the foster care system, inner-city youth, and those facing barriers to traditional employment.

Yes. We hold Quality Pre-Apprenticeship (QPA) status through the Carpenter’s Union, meaning our curriculum and training meet recognized industry standards. This accreditation ensures our graduates are highly prepared and highly valued by local contractors and union apprenticeship programs. We are also accredited though NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research).

To ensure that a lack of resources never stands in the way of a student's success, we equip every participant with a Student Starter Kit on day one. These kits include professional-grade tools and safety gear—such as speed squares, claw hammers, and steel-toed boots, so they can step onto any job site fully prepared.

We don't just teach trade skills; we provide a spiritual, supportive environment. Our team works closely with each student to offer mentorship, accountability, and guidance as they transition into adulthood and a demanding professional industry.

We are always looking to partner with Des Moines-area contractors who want to hire motivated, reliable, and safety-trained entry-level workers. Employers can get involved by speaking to our classes, offering site visits, or contacting us directly to interview our upcoming graduates.

No, our participants are not required to pay anything for the program. We provide all training, materials, and their student toolkits free of charge. The program is generously supported by sponsor companies and individual donors.
