NATE EVANS, SUPERINTENDENT

As Freedom Construction Services Superintendent, Nate Evans brings nearly 20 years of experience dedicating his life to educating young adults as a teacher. For more than 15 years, he has worked with his church’s youth group and volunteered in youth sports. Nate has previously served as the sales and marketing manager for a local construction company and, most notably, is the founder of Woodworking with a Purpose. Nate and his team have made 2,200 desks for kids to learn and grow at home during the pandemic. Since then, they made furniture for families in need across the Des Moines metro area. 

RYAN WILLETT, TRAINER

Freedom Construction Services Trainer Ryan Willett brings more than 30 years of experience as the owner of an RV sales and service business, and an 18-unit motel. He’s a Master RV Service Technician and served as head trainer and production manager for an RV manufacturer before retiring from full-time work. His vounteer activities include coordinating a youth football league and volunteer work at his church.

As more young Iowans join our program, we need Formen to help them apply their newfound skills on the job, working for real clients, supervising real jobs, with real deadlines and budgets. This is a part-time position so you can fit other activities into your week. It’s perfect for the retired or nearly retired skilled trades worker.
